Job Purpose: The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) is dedicated to elevating esports to new heights by organizing and supporting world-class tournaments while ensuring fair play, competitive excellence, and the highest ethical standards. As the Head of Integrity, you will be responsible for all integrity matters concerning the Esports World Cup and other tournaments organized or supported by the EWCF. This role involves developing and implementing a comprehensive integrity framework, ensuring fair play, and maintaining the highest ethical standards throughout all events, as well as bringing together all relevant stakeholders to develop integrity standards throughout the esports industry.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop the overall EWCF integrity framework, tailored to the needs of the esports ecosystem and international expectations

• Design and maintain EWC integrity processes, especially to prevent cases of cheating, match-fixing, code of conduct, and doping during EWC and its qualification stages

• Oversee operational execution of integrity process and case management of any breaches of integrity (i.e. doping testing operations)

• Establish and maintain contact with Publishers and Game Developers to manage game-specific integrity processes

• Establish and maintain contact with stakeholders from esports, sports, and gaming as well as integrity service providers

• Collaborate with industry stakeholders and partners to harmonize the EWCF integrity processes with relevant global standards.

• Represent EWCF at industry events, conferences, and regulatory discussions

• Lead crisis management and response efforts in cases of integrity breaches, including coordinating relevant authorities where necessary.

• Develop training programs and educational initiatives to raise awareness of integrity risks and best practices among players, teams, and tournament officials.

• Independently report directly to leadership on a regular basis on integrity cases and the overall status of the development

Education and Experience

• 15+ integrity management, legal compliance, governance, or a related field within the sports industry.

• University degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field; specialization in sports law is a plus. Professional certifications are highly desirable

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Expertise in legal analysis and interpretation of international law and regulatory frameworks across different jurisdictions, with a focus on integrity-related matters.

• Strong knowledge of integrity frameworks in sports (and esports ideally), including the development and enforcement of fair play policies and ethical standards.

• Experience in policy-making and public affairs, particularly in shaping and implementing integrity policies within an international or multi-stakeholder environment.

• Proven ability to establish and lead independent organizational units.

• Prior experience in the esports industry is highly desirable, particularly in areas related to governance, competition operations, or regulatory compliance.

• Experience conducting investigations into integrity breaches, including match-fixing, cheating, and conflicts of interest.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with publishers, regulators, clubs, and players.
