Job Purpose: 

The Manager Media Planning is responsible for developing and executing a robust media strategy for a global Esports event, expected to surpass the Super Bowl on a scale over the next decade. The role involves planning, budgeting, and implementing high-impact advertising campaigns across digital, print, TV, and out-of-home (OOH) media. The candidate will drive brand awareness, audience engagement, and market penetration in Saudi Arabia, the MENA region, China, and Western markets, ensuring a seamless and effective media presence both locally and globally.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive media strategy aligned with business objectives.

  • Plan and manage large-scale media investments, ensuring efficiency and high ROI.

  • Oversee media campaigns for key seasons, ensuring cultural relevance and market impact.

  • Manage media planning for Esports competitions, festivals, concerts, and media productions (e.g., documentaries, "Song of the Year" releases).

  • Optimize advertising placements across digital platforms (Google, Meta, TikTok, Spotify, etc.), TV, print, and OOH.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, government entities, and external media agencies to execute campaigns.

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance, adjusting strategies based on insights.

  • Stay ahead of global and local media trends, ensuring the event’s media strategy remains innovative and competitive.

Education and Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in media planning, advertising, or marketing, preferably within sports, Esports, entertainment, event industries or top media agencies.

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, Media, Communications, Business, or a related field.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Expertise in media planning & buying across digital, print, TV, and OOH platforms.

  • Strong understanding of regional and international media markets.

  • Proven experience in handling large media budgets and ensuring high ROI.

  • Analytical mindset, capable of tracking KPIs and optimizing media investments.

  • Stakeholder management skills to coordinate with government entities, content teams, and media agencies.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with tight deadlines.

  • Fluency in English and Arabic.
