Job Purpose

As the Manager of International & Local Affairs, you will be responsible for strategically positioning the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) as a key enabler of both local and international partnerships, ensuring its alignment with governmental objectives beyond esports. This role will focus on designing and executing a holistic engagement strategy with local entities, international stakeholders, and global organizations to establish long-term collaborations that drive impact. The ideal candidate will serve as a liaison for diplomacy, partnerships, and stakeholder engagement, reinforcing the EWCF’s role in global esports governance, corporate social responsibility, and government-led initiatives.

Local & International Affairs Strategy 

● Lead & lock the hiring process for local and international affairs functions, ensuring the right talent is in place to execute global engagement initiatives. 

● Develop and activate long-term local collaboration plans with key Saudi entities, ensuring strategic alignment between EWCF and national initiatives. 

● Design and implement an international affairs operating model, defining clear roles, governance, and coordination mechanisms across internal departments. 

● Identify and target global gaps in esports governance, development, and excelling to integrate them into EWCF’s mission. 

● Explore and initiate corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives to solidify EWCF’s role in positive global impact beyond esports. 

Stakeholder Engagement & Partnership Development 

● Prioritize strategic partnerships and draft Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) that align with the objectives of EWCF. 

● Lead diplomatic engagements with global Esports entities, and bodies to position EWCF as a driver of international collaboration. 

● Facilitate high-level meetings with local and international entities to bridge collaborations and expand EWCF’s influence. 

● Oversee and optimize execution efficiency in joint efforts with key stakeholders to drive tangible impact.

VIP & Guest Management 

● Create a comprehensive guest management & protocol guideline for EWCF, covering: ● High-level diplomatic engagements with local and international partners. 

● Public Representation & Advocacy 

● Serve as a spokesperson for EWCF, representing the organization in global media, industry forums, and diplomatic engagements. 

● Work closely with media and PR teams to ensure EWCF’s messaging aligns with governmental priorities and international diplomacy efforts. 

● Champion esports as a strategic vehicle for broader economic, technological, and diplomatic objectives.

Job requirements

● Bachelor’s degree in business administration, International Relations, or equivalent. Master’s degree in international affairs is a plus.

● 6+ years of experience in government affairs, international relations, esports diplomacy, or strategic partnerships.

● Proven track record of developing and managing international collaborations across multiple sectors. 

● Experience in high-profile guest management, VIP protocol, and stakeholder engagement at a governmental or corporate level. 

● Deep understanding of the esports ecosystem, corporate social responsibility, and global policy frameworks 

● Strong negotiation and diplomatic skills with the ability to drive partnerships at the highest levels.

● Excellent communication and public speaking skills; previous media representation is a plus.

● Fluency in Mandarin/Chinese is a bonus.
