Job Purpose: As Sponsorship Manager, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining a robust portfolio of international sponsors for the Esports World Cup. Your efforts will directly support our mission to establish the strongest sponsorship platform in esports, benchmarked against the top global sports properties.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing strategic sponsorship proposals, pitching to prospective partners, and helping grow long-term relationships with international brands. You will also support onboarding partners and ensure effective management of sponsorship deliverables, campaigns, and activations. You will be based in Riyadh with potential travel opportunities, working towards our goal of building a diverse, globally recognized pool of sponsors.
Duties and Responsibilities
Sponsorship Development and Revenue Generation:
- Identify, pitch, and secure sponsorship deals with local and international brands to expand our sponsorship portfolio.
- Build tailored sponsorship proposals that reflect the value of the EWC and align with the brand’s goals.
- Negotiate and structure long-term, mutually beneficial sponsorship deals with brands.
Global Campaign Development and Account Management:
- Collaborate with partners to develop global marketing campaigns aligned with sponsorship objectives.
- Support onboarding new sponsors, ensuring they are integrated into the EWC ecosystem.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing sponsors, ensuring deliverables are met and partners are fully engaged throughout the tournament cycle.
- Provide detailed reporting and insights on sponsorship activations and campaign performance to senior management.
- Track and manage sponsor satisfaction and performance metrics to ensure long-term partnerships.
Strategic Growth:
- Work towards establishing the EWC as a top-tier rightsholder in the global sports landscape.
- Contribute to strategic decisions around sponsorship assets and positioning to attract world-class sponsors.
- Monitor sponsorship market trends and leverage insights to refine and improve our offering continuously.
- Lead data-driven research to identify potential new sponsors that align with the Esports World Cup's vision.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in sponsorship sales, partnerships, or account management, with a focus on international sponsorship
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- In-depth understanding of the esports industry with professional experience preferred, demonstrating familiarity with industry trends, key players, and competitive dynamics.
- Proven experience in both sales and account management.
- Strong existing network with both local and international brands.
- Proven track record in building and managing successful sponsorships with major global brands.
- Demonstrated success in securing large sponsorship deals, with a history of forging strong partnerships and achieving significant revenue gains.
- Experience in developing and executing large-scale sponsorship campaigns, including digital and on-site activations.
- Very good written and verbal communication skills in English. Fluent in Arabic or Mandarin is a plus.
- Experience within the traditional sports market is a plus
