Job description

The purpose of the role of the Corporate Marketing, Strategy & PR Manager is to support in building, and maintaining a strong brand presence, fostering community engagement, managing media relations, and driving marketing campaigns to enhance EWC’s presence in the competitive esports landscape. 


Key responsibilities

Work hand in hand with the Brand & Communications Director along the following blocks:


Brand Strategy Development & Management:

  • Develop, drive, and own the organization’s & product brand strategy, ensuring alignment with its overall vision and objectives
  • Define the brand's positioning, values, and key messages with the aim to compete with top brands in sports and entertainment globally
  • Identify and Manage Brand Agency, and oversee all aspects of brand management, including brand core/DNA, architecture, visual/sonic identity, tone of voice, and brand guidelines for all stakeholders


Creative Direction & Brand Marketing Campaigns/Collaborations:

  • Develop brand & communication concepts / campaigns to build and expand the World Cup brands (e.g. documentaries) and work on holistic global marketing deals (e.g. discord)
  • Identify global brand marketing agencies and lead brand marketing campaigns that effectively promote brand awareness, appeal, engagement, and loyalty/collaborate with content creators to narrate stories /ensure all brand materials maintain consistency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate brand messaging into all marketing initiatives.
  • Develop B2B concepts to support the overall brand positioning (e.g. organization of / participation in gaming & industry forums)


PR Management:

  • Develop Press releases towards various media, influencers, streamers, and partners within eSports and the wider gaming ecosystem as well as corporate PR audiences.
  • Manage crisis-PR, proactive and reactive measures targeting different audiences inside and outside the gaming ecosystem.
  • Lead PR agency: search, lead, and steer PR agencies across audiences


Campaign productions:

  • Lead integrated shoots and productions across various communication channels
  • Handle international athlete talent across esports and sports on different levels


Collaborate with others:

  • Manage 3rd party Brand Development/Management and Brand Marketing Agencies
  • Work closely with Esports, Games, and Sales teams to align strategic branding and marketing activities


Market Research, Analysis, and Brand Performance Monitoring:

  • Together with the BI function conduct market research to identify trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscapes.
  • Use data and insights to adjust brand strategies and positioning as needed
  • Establish KPIs and metrics to continuously measure the effectiveness of brand all initiatives
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate brand performance (e.g. brand awareness, appeal, love) and adjust strategies accordingly


Job requirements

  • 7-10 years of extensive experience in brand development, management, and agency leadership
  • University degree in Business Administration, media, brand management, or a related field
  • Good understanding of the gaming and esports ecosystem
  • Excellent project management skills. Stress resistance. Ability to adapt to change fast.
  • Strong understanding of brand principles, market dynamics, and consumer behaviour
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Very good communication and presentation abilities
  • Proficiency in data analysis and measurement of brand performance
  • Proven track record of successfully building and evolving brand identities
  • Proven track record of successful global brand marketing campaigns and brand collaborations
  • Creativity and an eye for design and messaging
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Willingness to move to Riyadh
