Job description

As Senior Sales Manager Sponsorship, your primary objective is to drive Esports World Cup’s revenue growth by establishing and cultivating strategic partnerships with key sponsors in the rapidly expanding esports industry. You will play a pivotal role in elevating our brand presence within the Saudi Arabian and international esports landscape, forging lasting relationships with sponsors, and ensuring the successful execution of sponsorship agreements.

Key responsibilities

Sponsorship strategy:

  • Create a comprehensive sponsorship strategy for both endemic and non-endemic local and international brands aligned with EWC strategy
  • Identify and engage potential sponsors to build a strong portfolio of partnerships


Sponsorship assets:

  • Identify all the internal requirements for products and services that can be fulfilled through sponsorship agreements
  • Create a portfolio of assets to be offered to the sponsors of EWC
  • Develop guidelines, rules, and regulations for the sponsorship activities
  • Invest in building EWC as the leading esports IP for potential sponsors both in Saudi Arabia and the world
  • Collaborate with sponsors to tailor bespoke sponsorship packages that align with their marketing & business objectives and the organization's brand image


Sponsorship execution:

  • Work closely with the marketing and events teams to integrate sponsors seamlessly into esports events and activations
  • Provide on-site support to sponsors for a seamless experience in activations


Negotiations and Strategic Relationship Building:

  • Lead negotiations with sponsors to secure mutually beneficial agreements
  • Ensure all contracts are well-defined, executed, and adhered to, while also managing any necessary amendments
  • Forge and maintain relationships with top brands both in Saudi Arabia and globally interested in esports and gaming


Performance Tracking and Reporting:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for sponsored activities and campaigns
  • Regularly evaluate the success of sponsorships, providing detailed reports to sponsors and internal stakeholders


Market Analysis and Trends:

  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and potential partnership opportunities
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendation


Team Leadership/ Working with others:

  • Work closely with other verticals, particularly Marketing, Product, and licensing


Job requirements

  • 6+ years of extensive experience in various sales / commercial roles
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus
  • Proven experience in senior sales roles within the esports or gaming industry
  • Extensive network and established relationships with potential sponsors and partners
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and surpassing revenue targets
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in utilizing data for strategic decision-making
  • A passion for gaming and a deep understanding of the esports ecosystem
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Willingness to move to Riyadh
