Role location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Job Purpose: The Head of Content Production at the Esports World Cup is responsible for developing and leading the content strategy to amplify EWC’s brand and storytelling across all platforms. This role ensures the creation of high-quality, engaging content that resonates with the EWC audience and elevates the event experience. This person oversees end-to-end content production, from concept to distribution, and manages a creative team to deliver cohesive, impactful content that drives fan engagement, builds community, and strengthens the EWC’s positioning.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the global content strategy to enhance brand presence and engagement across digital, social, and broadcast channels
- Lead content creation for major EWC initiatives, including live event coverage, social media campaigns, promotional materials, and video series.
- Oversee content production teams (creative, video, and digital) to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and brand tone of voice.
- Drive creative innovation in content formats, storytelling techniques, and audience engagement to elevate the EWC’s content offering.
- Manage content schedules, timelines, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective production of high-quality content.
- Collaborate closely with the Fan Marketing and Social Media teams to ensure content aligns with fan engagement goals and enhances fan interactions.
- Coordinate with regional teams to adapt and localize content, ensuring cultural relevance while maintaining global brand consistency.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including the Commercial and Distribution teams, to provide them with tailored content that supports sponsorship, promotional, and distribution needs.
- Analyze content performance metrics to optimize strategies, ensuring content resonates with audiences and achieves desired engagement
- Oversee negotiations, contracts, and deliverables with agencies to ensure alignment with EWC’s goals, brand standards, and timelines.
- Manage and optimize the content budget, overseeing P&L for content initiatives to maximize return on investment and ensure resource efficiency.
- Ensure all content complies with brand guidelines, quality standards, and copyright requirements.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, media or equivalent.
- 8+ years of experience in content production, preferably within a digital and social environment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proven track record in developing and implementing global content strategies to drive brand engagement.
Experience leading content production teams, including creative, video, and digital, to deliver cohesive, on-brand content.
Prior experience in the gaming industry is required, with a strong understanding of the unique content needs and audience engagement strategies within this field.
Skilled in managing content schedules, timelines, and budgets to ensure on-time, high-quality deliverables.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Experience in managing external agencies. Skilled in negotiating with agencies and managing contracts to align with brand and project goals.
Knowledgeable in brand guidelines, quality standards, and copyright requirements.
Very good written and verbal communication skills in English.
